wE ARE IN A MAGAZINE! OUR PIECE IS ON ON NEW YEARS EVE, SO WATCH OUT FOR IT IT LOOKS LIKE A GOOD PROJECT SOME GREAT STUFF ON IT DAILY. IT IS AN INTERWEB MAG.

The premise for this first issue is simple: for each day over the 12 days of Christmas new projects will be uploaded onto fatboyreview.net. The projects are deliberately various: think of this as a series of gifts, seriously, completely gratis, all for you – stories from Sicily, Brooklyn, Paris, snowballs from the Arctic, ambient voices from a New York park, first-hand reports from Haiti, poetry from Andalucia, and a seasonal performance right in your ear (courtesy of AuntyNazi).
Some of the projects will change each day, a few will stay up for the duration; on the final day all of the projects will be visible. Most, not all, of the work is sequential, or based on an event. Dickinson’s piece ‘Lindow Man’ was pretty much the seed for the work. I love this piece, I think it’s smart, cocky, and durable – and those qualities run through much of the work.
Future issues for Fatboy include ‘Water at the Border’, a project in response to migration and human rights issues along the Mexican / US border where architects and artists imagine and fashion water containers – some of which we hope to place on site.
In April, Fatboy returns online with a response to David Cameron’s notion of ‘Big Society’, in which non-UK citizens or residents are asked to dish up the skinny on the UK. It could get ugly.
My sincere thanks to all of the participants.
